2. Project Objectives

  1. R&D an independent Trusted Carbon Credit Tracking & Verification (TCCTV) Platform for the stakeholders of Carbon Credit Ecosystem: Project Owners / Consultants / Verifiers

    • Reduce workload & cost
    • Enhance carbon data trustworthiness
    • Provide subscription-based platform services for operating carbon projects
  2. Propose NEW Carbon Crediting Methodologies for Urban & Technology related projects

  3. Drive More Carbon Reduction Projects in HK and Asia, firstly target Construction & Property Management

  4. Facilitate HK as to be an International Carbon Market

3. Technical Approaches

  1. Workload & Cost: Digitalize & automate manual process of continuous tracking, calculation and verification
  2. Data Trust:
    • Integrity: implement by Distributed Ledgers & Smart Contracts
    • Greenwashing Prevention: Embed AI-enabled Consistency Check to detect fraud data fed into the platform
    • Double Counting Risk Evaluation:
      • build cross-registry Carbon Project Directory from major Carbon Registries
      • create Evaluate Model for analyzing the similarity Carbon Project's geo-location and methodology
  3. Trials on TWO (2) Carbon Reduction Cases for illustration of the automated process & proposing new methodology
    • Property Management: Energy Saving of Motto by Hilton HK SOHO Hotel
    • Construction:
      • Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and diesel generator in construction site
      • Propose a new Urban Crediting Methodology in CDM for industry adoption
